Tenayan industrial Estate

The Tenayan Industrial Estate is one of the industrial estates in Pekanbaru city as a part of the National Strategic Industrial Zone or RPJMN 2020-2024, and is also a part of the provincial strategic area with a total land area of ​​roughly 3.000 hectares. Currently, 262 hectares of land are ready to be built in 4 stages of development where the first phase of development includes 58% large industry, 1.1% medium industry, 0.8% small industry, 22.1% supporting industry, and 18% green open space circulation. This land is designated for leading industries, such as agro, textiles, food, capital goods, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, as well as metals and petrochemicals. The Tenayan industrial area is the most potential location in the development of downstream CPO-based industry development because Riau is the largest contributor to the production of Sumatra’s CPO. As the capital of Riau Province, Pekanbaru has a quite strategic location, in the middle of Sumatra Island, right at the centre of Riau Province and is the gateway to western Indonesia. In addition, the city of Pekanbaru is also located at the intersection of Sumatra's transportation routes, in the middle of trade routes and close to sources of plantation raw materials and mineral mines. This is what makes Pekanbaru the best investment destination in Indonesia. Electrical supply from an Electric steam power plant (PLTU) is also provided and has operated as the main supplier of energy in the Tenayan industrial estate with a capacity of 2 x 110 Mega Watts with a land area of ​​40 hectares, and Electric gas steam and power plant PLTGU with a capacity of 275 Mega watts, with a land area of ​​9.2 hectares. The clean water infrastructure, wastewater treatment, and communication network support are also provided. The Tenayan Industrial Estate is connected to the Pekanbaru – Dumai toll road and with the planned Trans Sumatra railway line, and is integrated with other infrastructure developments including the construction of reservoirs, electrical energy networks, port of goods, cargo terminals and area development which includes the development of the Tenayan industrial estates, city government office area, commercial area, residential and the satellite towns around the city of Pekanbaru.
